Evolving Your Information Architecture-What? Why? How?: Better use and component reengineering
While not in the typical parlance of 'business' users, information architectures (IA) models are increasingly recognized as practical, valuable artifacts. All organizations have IAs. The question is–how effectively are they used? IAs provide an easy 'vocabulary' permitting better insight of information and processing challenges plaguing organizations. Confusingly, IAs are both the mapping and the implementation of that mapping between organizational strategy and operations. Organizational strategy begets data strategy which begets needs to understand and reengineer specific IA components. Implementation is the responsibility of data governance. The workshop covers better understanding, use and evolution your organization's IA. Incorporating IA drivers, a specified, repeatable process, organizational learning, and tangible results–IA efforts can result in organizational efficiencies and effectiveness improvements, increased dexterity, and lower risk and often, concrete ROI, positive cash flow and increased profit.
